The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) of The Mount Washington School (MWS) is pleased to be organizing its Inaugural 2015 Walk-A-Thon to support MWS, a public K-8 Baltimore City School recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, a Maryland Green School, and a Middle Years Programme of International Baccalaureate Organization.  The Walk-A-Thon is a major event that will help maintain MWS’ quality education and draw many families and friends from the Mt. Washington community and the surrounding neighborhoods.  We would like to ask for your support. 

 

The Walk-A-Thon will have over 250+ participants (students, teachers, families, and alumni) walking to raise funds.  Not only that, they will enjoy a day filled with nutritional & health information, music, food and activities.  The Walk-A-Thon will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2015, from 11 am to 2 pm at the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute/Western High School track and field located at 4600 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD 21209. 

 

Money raised from this event will help fund school programs in technology, science, music, art, and as well as field trips, classroom materials for teachers, and books for the library.  We hope you will strongly consider supporting our children, our public school, and our community!

• Cash Donations: Cash donations in any amount will support students who are not able to collect pledges.

• In-Kind Services: Contributions of personal services will help defray the costs to host the event.   

• Prizes and/or Giveaways:  Donations in the form of gift certificates, product, and/or coupons would be greatly appreciated.
